The owner of Sham’s Kitchen is a Yunnan Dai ethnic from Myanmar. She missed the flavors of her mother’s cooking, which inspired her to start making traditional Yunnan pickled tofu, quinoa, and other homemade Yunnan condiments. These unique flavors have won the hearts of many patrons. Shan Shu Juan, the Burmese Chinese owner, received the “Gold Award” from the Taoyuan City Government in 2015. Using memories, her mother’s recipes, and an experimental spirit, she has developed a variety of Burmese home-cooked dishes that even Indian Muslim visitors specifically request.
Sham’s Kitchen holds Halal certification, ensuring that Muslim friends can dine with peace of mind.
